Becknell earned his bachelor’s degree in physics in 1986 at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.
He and his wife of 22 years, Patricia, make their home in East Brainerd, TN, with their two daughters, Samantha and Sophie.
Becknell is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and an active member of Central Baptist Church in Hixson, TN.

During his first year with Northwestern Mutual, Bussey achieved top honors as a financial representative, earning the pacesetter 40 and second 60 awards. These awards are Northwestern Mutual’s benchmarks for success in the first six and 12 months of one’s practice as a financial representative.
Born in Greenville, TN, Bussey earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Southern Adventist University in 2008. He currently resides in Ooltewah, TN.
Bussey is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Aaron DeimlingCollege Unit Director
Deimling quickly distinguished himself as a successful financial representative, earning the new agent’s bronze, silver, gold, and platinum awards for four consecutive years (2005-2008). In 2009, he had his best year ever in productivity, ranking in the top 50 in the company’s southern region platinum category. That same year, he was recognized as a member of the 150 lives club. Along the way, Deimling also served as a college unit director (2005, 2008-2009) to help college students learn more about the industry.
Deimling has been recognized by the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors with a national quality award (2007-2009) and sales achievement award (2009). In November 2009, he was featured as an emerging leader in the Chattanooga Times Free Press 20 in Their 20s listing.
Born and raised in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Deimling attended Notre Dame High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in business marketing with a minor in finance at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

As Employee Benefit Specialist, Joanne Denise has more than 20 years of experience evaluating and implementing health care benefit plans for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network’s clients. Joanne partnered with Chuck Pruett, General Agent in Nashville to develop the Strategic Employee Benefits program within Northwestern Mutual locations of Knoxville and Chattanooga. Joanne partners with Northwestern Mutual’s Financial Representatives to help meet their clients’ needs for all types of medical coverage, from individual medical insurance to group health plans, and to address the employee benefit needs of businesses of all types and sizes. As benefit costs continue to escalate, she has also become a vocal advocate for small employers. Joanne holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. She served as Legislative Chairperson, National Association of Health Underwriters, and as 2001 Chair of the Legislative Committee for the Tennessee National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors. She has also served as the legislative chair for the Nashville Chapter of Health Underwriters for several years and is currently the legislative chair for the Chattanooga Chapter of Health Underwriters for the past two years. Joanne testified before Congress, May 1998 for the National Association of Underwriters at the Senate Labor and Human Resources Committee on Discrimination in Health Insurance Underwriting and Privacy of Individual Genetic Testing. In his first year, he achieved the company’s impressive power 10 and target 20 awards, and he was recognized as a winner of the 2007 Summer Lives Contest in Young Money Magazine. The following year, he was named a top 10 college financial representative in the Northwestern Mutual’s southern region.
In 2009, Francis became a full-time financial representative where he rapidly distinguished himself as a successful representative, earning the company’s pacesetter 40 award in the first six months of his career. He also earned the new agent bronze award that year for his exceptional productivity.
Born in Chattanooga, Francis earned a culinary degree from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in 2004. He worked as a chef at the exclusive Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV. In 2006, he returned to school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in accounting and finance.
Francis is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, where he enjoys being a mentor to his little brother, Alex. Tim FranklinFinancial Advisor
H L Hackney, CLU®Financial Advisor H.L. has won numerous awards, including the National Quality Award (1989, 1991-1997, 1999-2007 ) and the National Sales Achievement Award (1977-1978, 1990-1995). From 1990-2008, H.L. earned Life and Qualifying member status in the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table. Today, H.L. continues to serve the needs of his clients and also has affiliated with The Todd Organization, a highly respected leader in the executive compensation and benefits field. Jeffrey was born in Marion, Massachusetts and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in history from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2006.
He is actively involved in the Chattanooga community where he volunteers at The Creative Discovery Museum and is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Poole achieved the new agent bronze award in 2007 and the silver award in 2008. In 2009, he received the NAIFA National Quality Award.
Poole is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is also involved in Junior Achievement, First Baptist Church of Chickamauga, and United Way.
Brian RobertsFinancial Representative
Roberts grew up in East Ridge, TN. He earned a business finance degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he traveled in a jazz band and played the trumpet in the marching band. He is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Roberts is also an active member of North Terrace Church of Christ in East Ridge, TN. Ray has earned Life and Qualifying member status in the Prestigious Court of the Table in the Million Dollar Round Table. Ray is a past president of the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Society of CLU and ChFC, and the Chattanooga Estate Planning Council. Spry was born in Murfreesboro, TN and earned a business finance degree with a concentration in investments, at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
An active member of the Chattanooga community, Spry is a member of the Chattanooga Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He is also Treasurer of the UTC Gold Council, member of the Hamilton Place Rotary, and actively participates in the Young Professional Association of Chattanooga. During his first year with Northwestern Mutual, Thomas achieved top honors for a new financial representative, earning the pacesetter 40 and second 60 awards. These awards are Northwestern Mutual’s benchmarks for success in the first six and 12 months of one’s practice as a financial representative. In his second and third years with the company, he qualified for the top 10 in the company’s southern region bronze and silver categories.
In 2009, Thomas had his best year ever in productivity, ranking top 50 in new clients in Northwestern Mutual’s southern region, and top three in the gold category.
In addition to building his own financial services practice at Northwestern Mutual, Thomas serves as a field director in the Chattanooga office. In this leadership role, he mentors and coaches other financial representatives as they build their careers.
