A Strong Internship Program
Northwestern Mutual Financial Network was selected as “One of America’s Top Ten Internships for 2008” according to the Vault Guide to Internships, 2008 edition.

Northwestern Mutual Financial Network-Chattanooga hosts about three interns at a time. Seventy percent of them become full-time Financial Representatives.

Managing Director Paul Fitzgerald says his group’s interns come from a variety of colleges and universities, including the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Southern Adventist University, Covenant College, Bryan College and Lee University.

“Regardless of whether the intern looks at this as a career path, the learning opportunity for the student is tremendous,” says Paul.

Congratulations Landon Hutchison for achieving the Target 20 Award

June 10, 2010-- Northwestern Mutual is recognizing The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Graduate Student Landon Hutchison for achieving the Target 20 award, which recognizes financial representative interns who performed at an elite level while helping clients achieve their financial security during the year.

Hutchison became a full-time Financial Representative with NMFN-Chattanooga after graduating from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with his Master in Business Adminstration in August 2010.

Ben Francis began his career with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network—Chattanooga as a college financial representative in 2007. In his first year, he achieved the company’s impressive power 10 and target 20 awards, and he was recognized in Young Money Magazine as a Summer Lives Contest Qualifier. The following year, he was named a top 10 college financial representative in the Northwestern Mutual’s southern region.
